On-body jewellery images: showing scale and how it is worn

By Ronak Rawal · 1 October 2026 · 2 min read

A product shot on white shows the design. An on-body image shows how it looks when worn, and how big it really is. That second question is one that many buyers have.

Why on-body images help

  • Scale: a large stone looks different on a finger than on a white background.
  • Emotion: buyers picture themselves wearing it.
  • Context: they suit social media and lifestyle pages.

What can be shown

  • Rings on a hand
  • Earrings on an ear
  • Pendants and necklaces on a neck
  • Bracelets on a wrist

Accuracy matters

The jewellery in the image must match the real piece, because buyers rely on it. Use the CAD model or a render of it as the reference, and check details such as the number of stones. See common AI render mistakes.

Use them with product images

On-body images work best as an extra, next to clean product views. See the render angles guide. We offer on-body images for rings, earrings, pendants, bracelets and necklaces, with rates in our pricing section.

Frequently asked questions

Do on-body images replace product images?

No. Use both. Product images show the design clearly, and on-body images show scale and wear.

Can any piece have an on-body image?

Yes, rings, earrings, pendants, bracelets and necklaces can all be shown on the body.
