Common AI jewellery render mistakes to watch for

By Ronak Rawal · 1 October 2026 · 2 min read

AI-generated jewellery images are fast and attractive, but the AI does not know your design. It makes its best guess, which means it can get details wrong. Check each image before publishing.

Mistakes to look for

  • Wrong stone count: extra or missing stones in a row or halo.
  • Changed prongs: a different number, shape or position of prongs.
  • Melted or blurred details: fine work such as pavé looking smudged.
  • Impossible geometry: a band that does not close, or stones floating.
  • Different proportions: a taller setting or a wider band than the model.
  • Wrong metal colour: a tone that does not match the alloy.
  • Inconsistent images: the same ring looking different from picture to picture.

How to avoid them

  1. Give the AI a clear reference: the CAD render or a clean sketch.
  2. Compare the result with the model, one detail at a time.
  3. Reject images that do not match, and ask for a new one.
  4. Use AI for concepts and lifestyle, and KeyShot for exact product shots.

A simple rule

If a customer can order exactly what the picture shows, the picture must be accurate. Use a KeyShot render for that. Our sample renders show both.

Frequently asked questions

Are AI renders safe to sell from?

Only if you have checked that they match the real design. For an exact product image, use a render from the CAD model.

Can AI make a ring from a sketch?

It can create a concept, but the details are guessed. Build a CAD model before you make the piece.
